Types of Counseling Services Available
I offer several types of counseling services. A brief description of each follows. If you have any questions, I would be happy to discuss them with you.
Child and Adolescent Counseling
It is not unusual for children and adolescents to have relationship issues with parents and peers, especially if there is a history of trauma or abuse. Adolescents may also have identity issues, discipline problems, school and/or legal concerns.
Individual Counseling
Many individuals feel a need to work through issues such as family, intimate relationships, career concerns, depression, anxiety or bereavement in an one-to-one setting.
Couples Counseling
Many couples have relationship issues that revolve around communication skills. Couples may also face the intimacy and trust issues that surround an affair. Marriages can be saved and couples can be brought back from the edge of divorce even in the aftermath of an affair. Even if only one person in the couple is ready for counseling, positive change can occur.
Family Therapy
Family therapy involves working with the concerns of an inter-related group of people who care about each other and who have common concerns about their relationship. So often our conflicts are because of miscommunication, and often poor communication styles and negative responses are passed down from generation to generation. Together we can establish new patterns and start a new family legacy.
